Castillejos LGU Acquires New Power Generation System

LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF CASTILLEJOS ACQUIRED A POWER GENERATION SYSTEM FOR EVACUATION CENTER THRU DBMThis month, the Local Government of Castillejos had acquired 1(one) unit Power Generator for the Municipal Evacuation Center Located at Purok 1, Balaybay Resettlement of this municipality. The said Generator was funded thru the LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FUND- DISASTER RECONSTRUCTION AND REHABILITATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LGSF-DRRAP) of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). The fund was awarded for the municipalities affected by Taal Volcano Eruption, and Typhoon Rolly, Quinta, and Ulysses that took place last year. The fund was received by the Local Government Unit last February of this year, and the program aims to provide continuous power supply for the evacuation center during existence of calamities and disruptions.

Also, the said evacuation center was designated as an alternative quarantine facility if COVID-19 cases in the municipality would likely to increase just like what had happened earlier this year. The said program was implemented by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, headed by the MDRRMC Chairman-Mayor Eleanor D. Dominguez. Castillejos MDRRMC ensures that facilities like these should be in its prime shape to be ready and prepared for calamities and public health emergencies.
