The Local Government Unit of Castillejos, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), in partnership with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), successfully conducted a Tree Growing Activity in celebration of Philippine Arbor Day.

The activity was participated in by LGU employees, Barangay Captains and Council Members, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and representatives from various government agencies and community organizations.

This meaningful initiative supports the observance of Philippine Arbor Day, institutionalized under Republic Act No. 10176 (Arbor Day Act of 2012), which promotes environmental protection and encourages every Filipino to participate in tree planting activities.

Together, let us continue to protect and nurture our environment by planting, caring for, and preserving trees and other plant life. Through collective action today, we help ensure a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for the generations to come.
