Castillejos records three new positive cases of COVID-19

Three more positive cases of COVID-19 have been announced Sunday evening, April 18, by the Office of the Mayor. Total now is at 164.

Case 162 is 36 years old, and is a staff of the Castillejos Rural Health Unit (RHU). The patient, along with their coworkers, have been brought to the local quarantine facility in Sitio Baring for further monitoring of their health.

Case 163 is a senior citizen, and is related to a previous case recorded in the municipality. Both are currently recovering at the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital (PRMMH) in Iba, Zambales.

Case 164 was a 56-year old member of the local Catholic church. The patient traveled to Morong, Bataaan on Monday to visit their close relatives and returned to Castillejos that evening. Their condition got progressively worse over the course of the week and was taken to a private hospital in SBMA on Saturday. At 11:20 AM, the patient was declared dead. Results of the Swab Test confirmed that the patient was positive of COVID-19.
