The Municipality of Castillejos kicked off the new week with its regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the municipal park, hosted this morning by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO).

During the program, a retiring day care teacher was honored and presented with a โ‚ฑ16,000 cash incentive in recognition of her service.

Certificates of appreciation were also presented to local barangays recognized at the Zambales Awards for Sangguniang Kabataan during the SK Congress held last August 28, 2026โ€”with eight barangays named as awardees and three recognized for compliance.

Adding to the morning’s highlights, a resident from Barangay Del Pilar, Castillejos, Zambales introduced herself to the community as she prepares to compete in the upcoming Munting Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant.

To keep energy levels high, the Castillejos Zumba Fitness Group led a lively dance performance, getting everyone moving and starting the week on a positive note.
