In a message posted on their social media account, the Castillejos Rural Health Unit will be temporarily limiting its services starting on Saturday, April 10, 2021. This is to ensure the safety of its staff and patients as one of the RHU’s health workers was confirmed positive of COVID-19.

The following services will be temporarily suspended:

• COVID-19 VACCINATION
• PRENATAL CHECK-UP
• ROUTINE CHILDREN’S IMMUNIZATION, and
• TB DOTS

However, the Rural Health Unit will still provide essential health services such as the procurement of medicine among others.

All staff who had interacted with the health worker are to be quarantined and will be subjected to RTPCR testing in order to ensure that health services can be provided safely.
