COVID-19 Cases in Castillejos now at 176

Nine new cases of COVID-19 has been recorded Sunday evening, April 25, by the Office of the Mayor.

Case 168 is a 52 year old resident of Brgy. San Pablo. Case 168 has been exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 despite the Rapid Antigen Test returning a negative result. A follow-up RT-PCR Test at the Pres. Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital in Iba returned a positive result, thus confirming the patient as positive of COVID-19. The patient’s son was reactive to the Rapid Antigen Test and showed symptoms of the disease. He is now currently recovering in the Castillejos quarantine facility.

Case 169 is a 33 year old resident of Brgy. San Roque. She is a contact race of her husband who previously contracted the disease. The patient is currently recovering in the Castillejos quarantine facility.

Case 170 is a 21 year old resident of Brgy. San Jose, working in a private company in Iba. After exhibiting symptoms of the disease, the patient consulted with the Castillejos RHU where his Rapid Antigen Test returned a “reactive” result prompting his immediate transfer to the quarantine facility. RT-PCR result for the patient returned positive adding him to the growing number of cases within the municipality.

Case 171 is also a resident of Brgy. San Jose working as a security guard in a private company within the municipality. The patient was a contact trace of a fellow worker in the same company and, after a company-wide Rapid Antigen Test was conducted, was found to be reactive. A follow-up RT-PCR test returned a positive result while the patient is recovering in the quarantine facility. As of this writing, the patient continues to exhibit COVID-19 symptoms such as coughing and a sore throat.

Case 172 is a 24 year old pregnant woman living in Brgy. Nagbunga. She was found to be reactive after a Rapid Antigen Test was conducted in the San Marcelino District Hospital prompting her transfer to the Castillejos quarantine facility. The follow-up RT-PCR test also returned a positive result. For the meantime, the patient is recovering in the quarantine facility but is expected to be transferred to the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital when she goes into labor. The patient is not exhibiting any symptoms of the disease.

Case 173 is a 35 year old male also living in Brgy. Nagbunga. He underwent an RT-PCR test as a requirement for his job where it returned a positive result. While the patient is not exhibiting any symptoms related to the disease, he is still kept inside the quarantine facility until follow RT-PCR tests returns a negative result.

Case 174 works in Makati City only returning to Castillejos every Friday and staying over the weekend. After a bout with non-stop coughing, he underwent an RT-PCR test from his company which returned a positive result. As the Castillejos quarantine facility is already full, the patient has been forwarded to the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital.

Case 175 is a resident of Brgy. Del Pilar, working as a construction worker in a railways company based in Bulacan. An RT-PCR test was conducted among the employees of the company after an increasing number of positive cases has been confirmed. The patient was advised on April 22 to remain in Bulacan while they await the result of the RT-PCR test. However, a fellow worker in the same company offered a ride in a closed van belonging to a Taiwanese business owner in Castillejos. They got past the checkpoint and arrived in Castillejos that evening. The following morning, the patient reported to officials that they were positive of the disease. The patient has been brought to the quarantine facility as officials prepare the cases to be filed owing to the patient’s breach of R.A. 11332 (Public Health Concerns Act), Art 151 RPC (Disobedience and Resistance), and R.A. 9271 (Anti Quarantine Act) endangering the lives of their family and coworker.

Case 176 is a 34 year old resident of Brgy. Magsaysay. The patient took an RT-PCR test for their forthcoming flight to Dubai. Unfortunately, the test returned a positive result prompting officials to forward the patient to the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital as the quarantine facility was already full.
