The LGU has been recognized as one of the Most Outstanding LGUs For Sustainable Program on Waste Reduction, sharing the award with the Municipality of Guiguinto, Bulacan, and the Municipality of La Paz, Tarlac.

At the barangay level, San Agustin has also been recognized for its Outstanding Practices of MRF Operation. The awards were given in celebration of the Environment Month held on June 29, 2022 at the Widus Hotel, Clarkfield, Pampanga.
